Happy Holidays!

My family was treated to a super Christmas present this year.  My parents bought myself and my family as well as my two sisters and there families a 3 night 4 day stay at the Delta Lodge Kananaskis in the beautiful Alberta Rockies.  This is the first time we had done something like this and It was fabulous.

Our package included 3 wonderful meals, gifts for the kids on Christmas morning and little welcome bags for each of them upon arrival.  It was a great setup.  Mr & Mrs Claus were there as were his reindeer, they had crafts and activities planned each day for the children and there was a pool as well as a hot-tub. Not to mention a skating rink, hockey rink as well as a tobogganing hill. The food was delicious and the accomodations were wonderful.  I highly recommend this particular destination.

We made our way home rested and relaxed it was a fabulous mini vacation/Christmas celebration.  Thanks again Mom & Dad.

Here are a few highlights from our stay.

Toboganning Fun

It was another mild day here today and my hubby decided to take our son out for a little toboganning.  I thought this would be a great opportunity to grab some fun winter themed shots.

You see Angus (our son) loves the outdoors and it's a good way to burn off some energy and get some fresh air, so I am thankful that  my hubby loves to be outside to.  Me.....not so much during the winter.  Give me a fresh, warm spring day and I'm all over it, but the cold...even though it's un seasonably warm here...I'll pass Thanks.  Enjoy !

And we can't forget our goofy Dog Timber  :)

So it's Sunday.  And only 6 more days until Xmas......hard to believe.

It has been an un-usually warm winter up here this year and up until last night we had very little snow.  I'm talking like maximum 1 1/2 inches.  You see we are used to lots of snow, like 4+ feet of snow every year by this time and my husband LOVES it.......yes he is a die hard sledder, but we will save that for another post.  :)

Last night when we arrived home from our dear friends home we were greeted with a big fat snowfall, all in all we had about 3" fall overnight.  So I took my camera out late this afternoon to take some snowy, golden, yummy shots.  I hope you like them.
